"This is the Killer Speaking" (also known as Yeehaw Interlude and The Killer) is a song by The Last Dinner Party, performed during their live sets.
Background[]
The band debuted the song on June 21, 2024 at Metronome Festival in Czechia,[1] where they had titled it "Yeehaw Interlude" on the setlist.[2]
The songs name was assumed to be "The Killer" after their performance at Hurricane Festival on June 22, 2024, when they hinted at the song being called that.[3] However, in an interview at TRNSMT Festival with Guitarguitar, Lizzie Mayland referred to the song as "This is the Killer".[4]
The official name, "This is the Killer Speaking", was revealed in an interview with B-Sides when the band was asked if there was things in the works that were more American based.[5]

To figure out the lyrics of the song a channel was made in the The Parlour discord server for fans to help out, on June 24, 2024 Abigail Morris messaged a egg in a frying pan emoji in it, seemingly confirming the lyrics "fry up".[6]
