The UK Tour is the first concert tour by The Last Dinner Party. It started October 8, 2023 in Blackpool, and with their cancelled show at SWN in Cardiff, and postponed Bristol date, the tour concluded October 19, 2023 in Cambridge.
Background[]
On the 27th of June 2023, The Last Dinner Party let their fans know to ready their spears, mandolins, chariots, crossbows and crowns because they would be travesting the sticky floors of the UK's finest watering holes.[1]
The tour was announced after years of preforming live at festivals, opening for other bands such as The Rolling Stones and Florence + The Machine, and three months after their first headlining shows through the UK.
The band debuted two new songs during the tour, the first one at Blackpool being Second Best, a funky song that starts off as an acapella, and the second one at Hull being Big Dog.
The tour had many stops throughout the UK, two of which were the festivals of Live At Leeds on October 14, and SWN Festival on October 21, however on October 20 the band was sorry to inform everyone that they had to pull out of their slot at SWN Festival due to illness,[2] And on October 21 it was announced that their Bristol show would be rescheduled to January 30, 2024 as well.[3]
The venue for their October 9, 2023 show was changed from King Tut's to SWG3[4] to fit more people than the 300 capacity of the former venue.[5]
